A question I get asked a lot is, “If I eat well and I follow the Canadian Food Guide to a tee, do I need to supplement my diet?”
The answer is yes, unless you live on the Mediterranean sea. Our food in the western hemisphere is largely GMO (Genetically Modified Organism). The top of the list is corn. It has been linked to many health problems, including weight gain and organ disruption.
Number two on the list is soy. It has been genetically modified to resist the herbicide round.
The third on the list is sugar. From GM sugar beets, again modified to resist herbicide. Others on the top ten list includes: #4 aspartame, #5 papaya, #6 canola, #7 cotton oil, #8 dairy, #9 zucchini, #10 yellow squash.
If you are eating these top ten, then your body needs to detoxify them, this can be taxing to it. That is one of the best reasons to start supplementation.
