Proverbs 13:20, “He that walks with Wise men shall be wise!” One of the most powerful Proverbs that there is. In fact, if you are serious about success in all areas of your life, I strongly encourage you to become a student of the Book of Proverbs in the Bible. It’s a book that would give you the right principles for everything that you would need for a happy and successful life.

One of the most important things that I teach my son Caleb is making sure that he is very focused and intentional about choosing those that he spends most of his time with. One of the quotes that I live by is, “What you become in 5 years will be determined by the books that you read and the people that you associate with!” It is so true! The people that you walk with are going to determine the kind of person that you are going to become. Remember, “Birds of a feather flock together!” If you want to see what a person is truly like, take a good look at the 5 people closest to them. In fact, you should write down the 5 people closest to you and then you’ll have a clear picture of what your future will look like.

It’s a harsh reality, but it is the truth. You are going to become what you associate with. If you want to have more wealth in your life, then you should start spending time with the wealthy. Watch their habits, words, behaviors, attitude, actions and lifestyle. Study everything they do and start spending time with them. If you want to be a great husband, you should start spending time with men that are great husbands and study everything they do. Watch the fact that they treat their wives like queens and that they are careful to communicate and meet their needs. You’ll find that there are no accidents. Most of the people that are highly successful are successful because they do the right actions day in and day out. They succeed in the little areas of their life. It’s called the law of Cause and Effect, “If you want what successful people have, all you have to do is what successful people do!” It’s truly that simple! Get around the successful person that manages their time and is highly productive and you’ll see yourself improve in that area as well. God bless you and please walk with the right people!
